My dating journey was just like yours

My journey wasn't so smooth. I had so many ups and downs, epic fails and I'm grateful for all of those experiences.

Dating and relationships aren't things you just know. It's something you master over the years. You might learn from reading a book or watching a video. But hey, this isn't a rom com movie.

It's about your life, it's about taking responsibility for yourself and getting what you want. Yes, there's a lot to know, and some of it might feel challenging but, I'm here with you every step of the way.

I went through all kinds of setbacks, but also a lot of good moments. I learned how to embrace both the good and bad times and I survived, meeting an amazing man and living a happy and meaningful life.

I didn't expect this

I didn't expect this

Something happened in the last few weeks that I wasn't prepared for.

A group of women I'm working with sat down and rewrote their dating profiles. Same women. Same photos, mostly. Vastly different words.

I've watched women update profiles before — new headline, tighter bio, better lighting. This wasn't that. Something shifted underneath the words, and the men responding to them shifted too.

One woman told me she used to write her profile like she was auditioning. Now she writes it like she's already chosen herself, and the man just needs to catch up. She's not getting more messages. She's getting fewer — and every one of them is from a man who actually reads.

Another stopped leading with what she didn't want. No more "no drama," no more "must be honest" — the whole profile used to read like a list of past disappointments dressed up as standards. Now it's only what she does want: how she wants to feel in the relationship, how she expects to be treated, the kind of partner she's building a life with. The men who couldn't meet that filtered themselves out before the first message. The ones who could started showing up different — steadier, more direct, less game-playing.

I've done this work a long time. I don't say "like nothing I've ever seen" lightly. But watching a woman's entire matching pool change — not because she lowered anything, but because she finally wrote from a place of already being enough — that's the thing I keep coming back to this week.

Your profile isn't a résumé. It's a filter and a magnet at once. Most women write it like the first and hope it works like the second.

If you want to see what shifts when yours does too, this is exactly what we rebuild inside the Art of Dating Academy — enrollment's open now at $3,000, through August 25.
