My dating journey was just like yours

My journey was not so smooth. I had so many ups and downs and I'm grateful for all of those experiences. Dating and relationships aren't things you just know. It's something you master over the years. You might learn from reading a book or watching a video. But hey, it's not a rom com movie. It's about your life, about taking responsibility for yourself and getting what you want. It's a lot of stuff, and some of its quite difficult. I went through all kinds of setbacks, but also a lot of good moments. I learned how to embrace both the good and bad times and survived, living a happy and meaningful life. If you're interested in finding your love, or you need help to make your existing love life even better, then, contact me. I’m Elizabeth Tritsch, a Science- based, certified Dating & Relationship coach and Matchmaker.

I'm called the Mistress of Manifesting because I manifested love into my life. I'm like Will Smith in the movie, Hitch, but I’m real. My specialties include how to create a profile that attracts, how to enjoy dating while choosing wisely and how to create a loving, connected relationship.

Last week, you learned about dating rejection and this week I'm helping you to see rejection in a whole new light.

To put it simply, with my help you’re going to learn how to inoculate yourself and move forward with dating.

First, I want you to know that everything in life is built around relationships (be it friendship, work related, networking and yes, dating).

Once you understand that in order to date, you have to start some type of relationship (through an introduction), you can begin to succeed with dating.

Dating is a journey that’s filled with excitement, hope and the potential for meaningful connections. Unfortunately, it also comes with equal amounts of challenges and hurdles that can often feel like rejection.

Rejection can feel hurtful. It can knock you down and take you back to that dark side. It can bring up a sense of lack, unworthiness and disappointment. It can make you feel sad and alone or angry and resentful. These are all valid emotions that shouldn't be ignored. No one is immune to rejection, especially dating rejection. We’ve all been there, some of us, many times.

But I want you to know that rejection is an important part of the dating process and if you view it in a different light, you can discover more about yourself, what you’re looking for and become a stronger, wiser person as a result.

It’s important to know that being rejected does not define you, your worth or your potential for love. We all have our own unique preferences, life experiences and aspirations and not every connection is going to turn into a romantic relationship, nor should it.

I strongly believe that you will find the right person for you if you believe it’s possible and if you’re willing to learn how to be the best version of yourself. By being the best version of yourself, you’re more likely to attract the best version of your future partner.

When you can self-reflect instead of focusing on the disappointment that you feel, you can access the situation and learn from it. This is valuable intel that can help you grow as a person.

Ask yourself, what can I learn from this?

Was the person already in a relationship or just being polite by talking to you?

Was the timing off?

Did you misinterpret or ignore their body language or signals?

What made you think now’s the time to approach or talk to them?

Were they flirting, conversing, etc for the fun of it and not because they were truly interested in you?

Maybe, they weren’t the right person for you and you dodged a bullet.

Let’s dive deeper.

Dating rejection can help you clarify your preferences. Use this info to solidify your values, interests and relationship goals. Know that each rejection brings you one step closer to finding someone whose values align more closely with your own.

What if you used rejection to develop resilience which is a key aspect of dating and relationships?

When you learn how to handle rejection with grace and resilience, it not only helps you bounce back more quickly but also fosters emotional strength. Over time, this resilience becomes a powerful tool in facing both relationship and life's challenges.

Did you know that rejection is often about timing rather than compatibility? The person who rejected you may have priorities or circumstances that prevents them from pursuing a relationship at that particular time. Recognizing this can soften the blow of rejection and keep the door open for potential connections in the future.

Consider whether they’re saying, “No, not ever” or No, not right now” by asking clarifying questions.

Don’t be afraid to come right out and ask, “Do you mean not now or not ever?”

Wouldn’t it be better to know now than to be pining for someone and thinking you have a chance?

Instead of blaming them or thinking that there’s something wrong with you, understand the importance of one’s own individuality. Not every connection is meant to evolve romantically, and that's perfectly okay. Everyone brings something unique to the table and acknowledging that this person might be better suited to be a friend rather than a lover can help ease the sting of rejection.

What would it be like to see this as an opportunity rather than rejection? I know that sounds completely opposite from what you want to hear but what if you could reframe the rejection as a redirection toward someone who’s better suited for you?

This shift in perspective can help you maintain optimism and prevent you from feeling a host of negative emotions.

What if you embraced rejection as a catalyst for expanding your social circles?

By engaging in various activities, joining clubs and attending events this widens the pool of potential connections which increases the likelihood of finding like-minded individuals who are better suited to you.

Lastly, what if you used rejection as motivation for continuous self-improvement? Whether it's by enhancing your communication skills, refining your personal interests or exploring new hobbies, each rejection becomes an opportunity to become the best version of yourself.

Understanding that dating and rejection are inseparable companions can help when feeling rejected. By reframing rejection as a pathway to personal growth, you can inoculate yourself through dating with resilience, self-awareness and a positive mindset.

Each rejection is not a closed door but an invitation to explore new possibilities and ultimately discover the connection that aligns with your authentic self.

That's where a good dating coach comes in. A certified dating coach who focuses on results can put things into perspective for you.

You can learn how to handle and even embrace rejection. You can learn how to heal rejection wounds, turn it inside out and use the knowledge to become stronger, bolder and more confident as well as, more loving, empathetic and caring.

All of these new skills will help you attract love from the right person into your life which will have you feeling happier, more loved and cared for than ever before.
